Superior Men's Golf Club

Our Story
Founded in 1988 by Manuel “Lito” Vallejo and a group of close friends, Superior Men’s Golf Club is a nonprofit men’s golf club dedicated to promoting friendship, fellowship, sportsmanship, competitive golf, and charitable giving throughout Southern California.
What began as a small group of Filipino-American golfers gathering once a month to enjoy the game has grown into a thriving club of more than 100 active members representing a diverse range of backgrounds, professions, cultures, and playing abilities. While our membership has grown over the years, our purpose has remained the same—to bring people together through the game of golf while building lasting friendships both on and off the course.
Today, our members come from many different professions and walks of life, all sharing a passion for golf and camaraderie. Whether you’re an experienced tournament golfer or simply enjoy a great day on the course with friends, you’ll find a welcoming home at Superior.
Throughout the year, Superior hosts organized monthly tournaments at outstanding golf courses throughout Southern California, with most events played in a shotgun start format. This gives our members the opportunity to experience different courses while enjoying friendly competition, fellowship, and sportsmanship.
As a nonprofit organization, Superior Men’s Golf Club is led by a dedicated Executive Team committed to serving our members with integrity, transparency, and responsible stewardship while preserving the traditions that have defined Superior since 1988.
While we proudly honor the legacy established by our founders, we also remain committed to growing and improving Superior for the future. By embracing new ideas, strengthening communication, enhancing the member experience, and continuing our tradition of charitable giving, our goal is to make Superior an even better place to play golf, build friendships, compete, and give back.
At Superior, we’re more than just a golf club—we’re a community built on friendship, competition, tradition, and giving back through the game we love.

Superior Cup
The Superior Cup is our season-long competition that rewards participation and performance throughout the year.
Members compete in one of four divisions—A Flight, B Flight, C Flight, and Senior Flight—earning points based on their net finish in each monthly tournament. Standings are updated throughout the season as members accumulate points, creating a fun and competitive year-long race among golfers of similar playing abilities.
At our annual Year-End Awards Banquet, the top performers in each flight are recognized as Superior Cup Champions. Flight Champions, the Player of the Year, and other season award recipients are celebrated with trophies, prizes, and club recognition for their accomplishments.
Division champions may also earn the opportunity to represent Superior Men’s Golf Club at the SCGA Tournament of Club Champions, competing against champions from golf clubs throughout Southern California.
Monthly Tournaments
Superior hosts organized monthly tournaments at a variety of outstanding golf courses throughout Southern California, with most events played in a shotgun start format.
Each tournament is designed to provide an enjoyable and competitive experience for golfers of different skill levels while promoting friendship, fellowship, and sportsmanship.

Flight Championships based on Net Score
Closest-to-the-Pin Contests
Superior Cup points toward the season-long competition
Whether you’re playing for the championship or simply enjoying a round with friends, every tournament is an opportunity to experience the camaraderie, competition, and fellowship that have defined Superior since 1988.
Giving Back Through Golf
Giving back has always been an important part of Superior’s tradition.
As a nonprofit organization, Superior Men’s Golf Club proudly supports charitable causes through golf fundraising events and community partnerships. Throughout our history, our members have helped raise funds benefiting families, schools, charitable organizations, and communities both locally and in the Philippines.
We believe golf is more than just a game. It’s an opportunity to bring people together, strengthen our community, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Our Commitment
For more than 35 years, Superior Men’s Golf Club has been more than a place to play golf. It’s a place where friendships are formed, traditions are honored, competition is embraced, and giving back is part of who we are.
As Superior continues to grow, we remain committed to preserving the legacy established in 1988 while continuing to improve the club and member experience for generations of Superior golfers to come.
Honoring our legacy since 1988. Building the future of Superior—one tournament, one friendship, and one round at a time.
